Liverpool footballer Alisson Becker has baptised the wife of another footballer, after he and his wife shared the gospel with her.
Monique Salumhe, the partner of Manchester United star Frederico Rodrigues de Paula Santos, known as Fred, has been baptised in Becker's swimming pool at his home.
A few weeks ago, Becker also hosted the baptism of Roberto Firmino, a fellow Liverpool player.
Monique Salumhe posted the video and quoted the Great Commission on Instagram, saying: "'Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit' (Matthew 28.19)
"This day! The day that will always be marked on my heart and soul. The day of my encounter with Jesus Christ, where I felt his presence and felt that it was the most certain and important choice of my life. Where I gave my life and all my heart to him. Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to explain everything I felt that day and how you have been transforming my life and the life of my family."
She thanked the footballer and his wife for sharing the gospel with her: "I could not fail to thank my dear friends @natalialbecker and @alissonbecker who introduced me to life in Christ Jesus and with their testimonies has been transforming the lives of everyone around them, including mine! Thank you for making me I felt true love. You are a blessing in our lives! Thank you God, for doing your works in my life. I serve you! 14.01.2020"
Larissa Peereira, Roberto Firmino's wife, commented: "Without words, just with eyes full of tears for everything God made. You are special, very loved and chosen! May God bless your family more and more, and may you always be at the centre of His will!"
From another post by Becker, the baptisms appear to have taken place on 14th January.
Roberto Firmino was baptised earlier this year.
