Leader of the Munich International Community Church in Bavaria, Steve Henderson, told Premier on Friday how people can be praying for the situation.
He said: "[Pray] for an eagerness from Christians in that area - individually or as church families - to be involved and to provide help, care and support.
"Rather than shaking a fist at the heavens, [pray] that people would turn to God, ask for mercy, recognise the brevity of life and recognise the seriousness of a relationship with Christ."

John Lim, who leads the city's Elim Evangelical Church, told Premier's News Hour he had difficulty traveling to a hospital outside of Paris where he serves as a chaplain because of floodwaters on the roads.
He also explains how local churches are responding, saying: "I think there is a lot of help being given by local churches and most denominations are trying their best to answer the needs. Pray for churches.
"The fact that roads are inaccessible makes the huge hospitals pretty useless. So, pray for small towns and villages. Pray for families [affected by the] deaths."
