Pope Francis has spoken on the topic of family and illness in his latest June address.
The Holy Father talked about the work of Jesus, who met with the sick and healed them.
The address said that Jesus "sends his disciples to do the same, giving them the power to heal, and to draw close to the sick, touching their deepest wounds and bringing them peace."
"May we always give thanks to the Lord for the support of the Church shown to families in times of illness, especially between families themselves," he said.
The pontiff releases two prayers every month; one called a universal prayer and the other called an evangelical prayer.
He also holds a monthly address discussing topics relevant to the Catholic church.
