Michael Todd, the lead pastor of Transformation Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has dismissed a viral video by comedian Drew Desbordes, better known as Druski, which mocked mega church pastors.

Todd described it as a weapon of "mass distraction."

In the skit, Druski appears to be sporting the exact outfit that Todd once wore during a sermon, according to the Christian Post. The skit has attracted millions of views on social media.

"There was a video that came out this past week with a few hundred million views, and some people were trying to link it to me," Todd said during his Sunday morning sermon. He admitted to watching the video, finding it funny, but also taken aback by how much "frustration" it created for people.

"I was literally watching people go back-and-forth with people and denounce people and call people names and do stuff," Todd said. "I stepped back for a second. I said, 'Oh my gosh.' All this was an attack on people's lives of distraction."

He said the video took people away from God's work and other priorities, such as spending time with their families, all because they are too busy "fighting" with people in the comments and "obsessed" with the video.

"Your distraction may be in a football uniform. Your distraction may be a child that God gave you that you put too much of your focus on instead of healing what God has called you," he added.

Todd then encouraged people to "take a page" from the biblical prophet Nehemiah.

"All I'm saying to you, church, is that maybe you need to take a book or a page from Nehemiah Chapter 6, where Nehemiah had a burden to build something, and God told him to build a wall," he explained. "And what Nehemiah said when people started trying to distract him [is] ... 'I am engaged in a great work.'"

This isn't the first time Todd has faced criticism. In 2022, he spat into his hand twice and rubbed it into a churchgoer's face, who was later identified as his brother. The audience gasped, to which Todd responded: "How you just reacted is how the people in your life will react when God is doing what it takes for the miracle."

Many people condemned Todd, with many people calling his actions "disgusting" and "demeaning."
