Pastor John MacArthur 'in good health' after becoming unwell while preaching

by Alex Collett

Grace Community Church in California has given an update about Pastor John MacArthur, who it says is now "doing well" after falling suddenly ill.

Mr MacArthur fell unwell whilst preaching at an early Sunday service last week and could not deliver his sermon at the second service.

In a statement posted to their website Grace Community Church gave more detail of his recovery.

It said: "Many of you are praying for Pastor John’s health due to his absence from the pulpit during the second service.

"We are pleased to report that he is doing well. He saw a doctor on Sunday afternoon and he is in good health, and just needs rest from a busy holiday week.

"Thank you for your continued prayers for Pastor John."

John MacArthur is 83. He still regularly preaches live while his sermons are broadcast around the world, including on Premier Christian Radio, through his Grace to You ministry.
