Pamela Anderson wanted to become a nun instead of a Playboy model, she reveals

by Sophie Drew

Former Playboy star, Pamela Anderson, has revealed that she prays every morning and previously wanted to become a nun. Anderson sat down with Drew Barrymore for a candid interview on the First Dates star’s talk show.

The pair discussed Anderson's childhood and her experiences leading up to her fifth divorce.

"I wanted to be a nun," Anderson joked, "or a librarian." Her aspirations were borne from hours spent at local library story time groups, where she developed an interest in the Bible. Instead of joining a convent, the Baywatch actor described getting a "university" experience at the Playboy Mansion after moving from Canada as a teenager.

"I was at the library every day. I was at story time every day, and I really wanted to be a librarian. But then I thought, 'No, I really want to be a nun,'" Anderson said.

Anderson has incorporated faith into her morning routine, waking at “4am or 5am” daily and saying prayers.

She said: "I have my prayers I say in the morning. I have to do my routine - my Hail Marys, my little thing with my little Mary sculpture."

The actor recently appeared in a documentary produced by her son, Brandon Lee, whom she parents with her first husband, Motley Crue's Tommy Lee.
