A new survey has revealed nearly one in 10 school children is given their first mobile phone by the time they're aged five.
But most children have to wait until they're at least 11-years-old before they have a handset, according to a new survey.
Chris Muwanguzi is from Christian based charity Family Matters Institute.
He told Premier's News Hour there's no reason why a parent would need to give their children a phone at such a young age:
