Nicki Minaj has shared a photo of a Bible which was given to her and signed by Donald Trump. The US rapper said it was “one of the most meaningful gifts I've ever received in my entire life”.

The image of the King James version of the Bible has caused controversy with some saying the word of God should never be signed. However, some are defending it, with one social media user posting: “If people think that Donald Trump signing a Bible is blasphemy then do you say the same to everyone who writes in their Bibles for studying or when they fill the first page on who its being presented to?”

Minaj has long been a supporter of Mr Trump describing herself as his “number one fan”. She has attended several events connected with the president over the past year and last month she posted a photo of a Trump Gold Card that also bore his signature.

The leather-bound ‘God Bless the USA’ Bible has been signed in President Trump’s familiar bold style.

The 43 year old’s high-profile support for President Trump contrasts with her attitude less than a decade ago when she heavily criticised his administration’s policy of separating immigrant children from their families.
