Jesus VR has been shot in the hyper-immersive 360 degree format giving the viewer the opportunity to feel like they are part of the film.
It's one of the first feature-length projects to be designed in this way and the audience will need to wear some form of virtual reality 'glasses'.
The film's director David Hansen has said the movie will cover key events from the life of Jesus including his birth, the Sermon on the Mount and the crucifixion and resurrection and will be like an encounter with the Son of God himself.
"The viewers truly feel they are there with Jesus and his disciples," he said in a statement. "This is the most powerful story of all time and virtual reality is the perfect way to tell it."
It's thought the film will be out in time for Christmas.

You can use the arrows to spin the screen. With glasses it moves as you move your head.
