A US pastor has livestreamed a fire that engulfed part of his house just before leading a service on Sunday 7th November.
Pastor Sammy Smith, who leads Grace Cathedral Ministries in South Carolina, shared on Facebook Live how firefighters and neighbours helped to put out a fire engulfing the second floor of his house.
In the video, Pastor Smith can be heard repeatedly saying, “My house is on fire”.
“It’s burning up, y’all. Y’all are watching it live, just like I am,” he continued.

Once the fire was controlled, Pastor Sammy went back online to explain more about the fire.
“It’s Apostle Sammy Smith, standing in front of the ruins of my used-to-be house,” he said.
“God kept everybody, everybody’s out safe; the house is pretty much destroyed. But God got us out,” Pastor Smith added. “And, you know, God’s will always has to be done. Sometimes we don’t understand his will.”
The 64-year-old pastor later explain to WYFF news outlet that the fire started by accident and his dauigher and grandson lost everything as their rooms were in the upstairs room.
Pastor Smith concluded his second live stream by thanking the community for their support.
“They were bringing up donations and putting them in my hand. And I felt their love. And when I felt their love I became a crybaby. And it was something...not about the house, not about any of that stuff not about the clothes that were lost, not about the stuff - their love moved me.”
