A man has been arrested in Singapore after slapping congregants at a church service.

Authorities were called to Singapore Life Church on Sunday. The 33-year-old Malaysian-Chinese man was know to the church and has caused prior disturbances.

No one was seriously injured, but a 66-year-old woman was taken to hospital after being hit near her eyes, which caused bleeding.

Police say investigations are ongoing, but services have not been affected.

In its mission statement, Singapore Life Church says: “Thanks be to God for His constant protection, guidance, and using our church as a vessel for His Kingdom”.
