Lebanon: Hundreds detained after Christians targeted in bombs

On Monday five people were killed and nearly 30 wounded in at least six suicide bombs in border village of Qaa.

At least one of the devices was detonated outside a church where people had gathered for funerals.

Lebanon's army said most of the people arrested were Syrians being held for illegal entry into the country.

The raids were conducted early on Tuesday in six areas in the Baalbek region, which has many informal refugee settlements.

The state-run National News Agency said the funerals of those killed in the attacks have been postponed for security concerns.

Lebanon's Hezbollah group also says it is postponing a religious event in Beirut later in the day.
