Tributes have been paid to a 35-year-old associate pastor who died on Friday in what's been described as a tragic accident.

Clint Brame was a minister of education and associate pastor of Olive Branch Baptist Church near Hanson. He's survived by wife, Amanda, and daughter, Elizabeth.

Clint became a Christian at 15 and was finishing up his studies at Campbellsville University when Larry Purcell, the then pastor of Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, began mentoring him. The church commissioned him to work with HR Ministries.

Paying tribute to Kentucky Today, Purcell described Clint as one of the most laid-back, easy-going people you would find: "He grew up in Hopkinsville and had all kinds of options. His dad was a big farmer and he could have stayed there and had financial opportunities, but he had such a heart for Jesus and serving Him somewhere."

Gary Taylor, senior pastor at Olive Branch added that Clint: "loved Jesus, loved his family and loved his church."

The father-of-one was also described as extremely mission minded and had just returned from Montana with a team of men from Olive Branch who went to the Blackfoot Indian reservation and helped a church there. 

Chance McConnell, pastor of First Baptist Church in Taylorsville, who knew Clint well said in a Facebook post that he "loved Jesus deeply, his wife and daughter tremendously and his church selflessly."

"Clint's heart for the Lord and service to the Gospel was always something to emulate and an example for me to follow."
