Justin Bieber visits Los Angeles prison to 'support faith-based programs'

Justin Bieber has visited the California State Prison of L.A. County along with his pastor "to preach about God."

The 27-year-old singer's recognisable RV was spotted pulling into the state prison.

According to entertainment website TMZ, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said Bieber's brief visit was permitted by the warden of the state prison to support faith-based programs and Covid protocols were followed.

There weren't any further details as to the focus of the preaching.

A recent post on Instagram from the singer revealed his perspective of God has switched from fear to love.

"U are never too far from God! He's obsessed with you," he wrote.

Last November, Bieber and his wife, Hailey Baldwin, unfollowed their former pastor Carl Lentz, amid a wave of controversy at Hillsong Church.

At the start of the year the singer went on social media to deny reports he was studying to be a minister and to clarify that he was part of megachurch, Churchhome and not Hillsong.
