Is this an angel or a moth?

by Tola Mbakwe

Deneille Moes, pastor of Jordan Rivers Church, said he was shocked when parishioner Glen Thorman showed him images captured by his motion sensor home security camera.

"It was really clear to me the minute I looked at the photo, I just kind of freaked out a bit," Moes told WPBN-TV.

"I went like 'Whoa! That's an angel!' And I texted him back, 'That's an angel.' There wasn't any doubt in my mind that we were looking at something supernatural."

The Michigan pastor shared two photos of the image on the church's Facebook page. It's been shared almost 1,500 times with several comments of people having their say on what the image is.

While many comments agree that it is an angel, a photography expert told WPBN-TV it's most likely a moth that set the motion detector off.

"It is definitely moth-shaped in the first photo," Joe Clark from Glass Lakes Photography said.

"You can kind of clearly see what looks, or could be interpreted as, wings and a head, but at the same time since it's not clearly in focus and since it is what it is, there may be room for interpretation."
