Ozzy Osbourne has talked about the time he mistakenly drugged a local vicar.

In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, he said one day he made a cake and filled it with hash, which is a known drug with a high concentration of cannabis. 

He told his ex-wife before leaving home to head to the pub, not to let anyone eat the cake because "it will be bad".

Thelma Riley, whom Osbourne married in 1971, must have forgotten about Osbourne's warning because he said when he returned home a few days later, a vicar was in his kitchen having a cup of tea with a slice of the cake. 

"I hadn't got a driving licence, but he was slumped in my kitchen, so I had to drag him out by his hair, push him in the back of his car, drive him to his door and then walk home," the Heavy Metal legend recalled to GQ.

"I didn't see him for two weeks after that and I thought I'd killed him! Then I saw him in a pub on a Sunday morning and he said, 'I must have caught such a dreadful flu at yours. I hallucinated for three days and had to miss church.'

Osbourne said he was relieved to see the vicar alive because it was a "big chunk of hash".

While it's unclear when the unfortunate incident took place, the singer and song-writer explained that it was normal for vicars in the countryside to pay a visit to people who were new to the area. 

"When you move into the countryside, they try to get you into the congregation and welcome you to the community," he said.

"They invite you for a chat, see if you want to confess a few things."

Osbourne said if he was still living in that area, he'd probably be going to that church "confessing all my sins". 

He also shared that he's tried reading the Bible but feels like it's a language he doesn't understand. He joked that someone should publish a translation in his language, one full of expletives.
