Churches in Hull are celebrating being named City of Culture 2017 by unveiling a unique city-wide advent calendar. It's the coming-together of two ideas to remind people of the true meaning of Christmas- to have 24 pieces of art in local schools, or for advent windows in high-profile places.
Those behind the ideas realised they didn't have time to deliver both in the short timescale available, so they're now putting the art in shop and bank windows in the city centre.
