The project called Christmas Adventure has been spearheaded by Believe in Hull, a team of different churches which are working together to represent and contribute to the area as it becomes City of Culture for 2017.
Churches have elaborately decorated their doors to represent different days on the Advent calendar, with various events for all ages inside for people to enjoy.
23 churches are putting are taking part in Christmas Adventure, which also plans to run in Advent 2017.
The Bishop of Hull, Rt Rev Alison White, told Premier: "This is a season of great fun and one of the things we want to do is to say come and be part of our life, where there is so much to celebrate.
"All of us together together across the city are walking through the door that will lead us into 2017 and the City of Culture and all the fantastic opportunities that's going to give us.
"We're celebrating the fact that God, in Jesus, made the greatest journey to come and be one of us. There is no greater story to celebrate."
