A poster said to have been posted on a church door in Glasgow has been branded 'disgusting' after depicting a cartoon image of a family under the heading 'Straight Pride'.
A member of the public claims to have removed the poster after noticing it pinned to the door of Cathcart Congregational Church on Monday. It is unknown who placed the poster there.
The image depicts a man and a woman with their three children and is emblazoned with the slogan 'Straight Pride'.
The message below the graphic reads 'Because you wouldn't be here without normal people.'
A local resident who saw the poster took it down from the church but shared an image of it on a community Facebook page. She described it as 'ridiculous and homophobic'.
Comments from people who had seen the poster called those who had posted it 'scumbags' and branded it 'absolutely disgusting'.
A spokesperson for the church said:" I wish to make it clear that our church knows nothing about the item that appeared on our church building that has caused a bit of concern to folks.
"Where it came from we don't know."
