"God has a plan for everybody", says Dionne Warwick

by Hannah Tooley

Dionne was close friends and cousins with the famous singer Whitney Houston, who died in 2011, and her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown who remains in a coma after being discovered face-down in a bathtub at the beginning of the year.

"God has a plan for everybody, for better or for different," she said, speaking in The Mirror.

Talking about the tragedies that she had encountered in her life she said: "Of course, any death within my family is a very difficult thing, no matter who it is.

"You're losing a part of you.

"Everybody that's gone before me has taken a part of me with them."

Dionne Warwick lost both of her siblings in 1968 and 2008 respectively, she also lost her nephew to a virus in 2011.

Describing her loss after her friend Whitney Houston died, following a long battle with drink and drugs, she said: "I felt like I lost a part of me when Whitney left me.

"But there was nothing that anyone could have done.

"That was Whitney's choice, unfortunately, and that was also the plan.

"That was God's plan."

It has been reported the 74-year-old is avoiding involvement in feuds and fall outs, believing God has a plan for everybody.
