St Paul’s Cathedral is partnering with a club and electronic music promoter to host contemporary music events over the next four years.
Announcing an exclusive partnership with fabric, St Paul’s said it reflects its commitment to welcoming diverse audiences and creating opportunities for people to experience the Cathedral through music, culture and the arts.
The programme will see a range of contemporary artists from different musical backgrounds and disciplines whose work responds to the Cathedral's atmosphere, acoustics and architectural heritage.
The Cathedral said the collaboration follows "two successful events at the Cathedral in recent years, featuring acclaimed artists RY X in 2024 and Patti Smith in 2025. These performances demonstrated the unique potential of contemporary music within the Cathedral, bringing together audiences from across London and beyond within one of the city’s most iconic and important spaces”.
The first partnership event will take place on 29 October 2026, although further details haven’t yet been announced.
Sandra Lynes Timbrell, Director of Visitor Engagement at St Paul’s Cathedral said she was “delighted” to be partnering with fabric and hopes “the partnership will introduce new visitors to the Cathedral, encouraging people to discover and engage with this historic building in new and exciting ways".
Cameron Leslie, co-founder of fabric, commented: “fabric has always been about bringing people together through music and creating experiences that stay with people. The opportunity to do that at St Paul’s Cathedral over the next four years is incredibly exciting for us. It’s an extraordinary and unexpected coming together of two very different parts of London, and we’re looking forward to building on the success of the events we’ve already held and creating something genuinely special and befitting of this incredible space.”
