Franklin Graham, Dr David Jeremiah named among top 50 Christian allies of Israel

by Tola Mbakwe

Fifty church leaders, politicians and businessmen and women have been honoured for their work in supporting Israel.

The Israel Allies Foundation (IAF), which mobilises support for Israel through governments worldwide, has published its first annual list of 50 people who have defended and advocated for Israel.

Pastor Paula White, who advises the White House on faith topped the list, with IAF stating "her support for Israel has strengthened the US-Israel relationship in ways people will never fully understand".

Evangelist Franklin Graham came in 22nd for being an "outspoken supporter of the Jewish State". As the President and CEO of humanitarian organisation Samaritan's Purse, Graham was commended for the charity's presence in Israel, focusing "on providing physical relief to families who have fled violence" and donating ambulances.

Pastor and 'Turning Point' ministry host Dr David Jeremiah was honoured for speaking in support of the Jewish State at his annual tours and sharing his opinion on Jewish rights to Israel.

John Hagee, Kenneth Copeland, Joseph Prince, Jentzen Franklin, and Enoch Adeboye were some other pastors on the list. Politicians include Mike Huckabee and Michelle Bachmann.

IAF produced the list in honour of Sukkot, known as the Feast of Tabernacles. The Jewish holiday is being celebrated from the 2nd-9th October.
