Former Moderator tweets four-word Bible books

Rev Dr Iain D Campbell has been shared one bite-sized description every day on Twitter since April the 20th.

For example for Genesis, the first book in the Bible, Rev Dr Iain said "In the beginning", and for the Psalms he wrote "In praise of God".

His tweets have been seen around the world, and gained him hundreds of followers.

He told Premier: "I actually stumbled across the hashtag #fourwords on twitter, in which people were writing meaningful phrases in as succinct a way as possible, and I thought it would be good to do that with the books of the Bible.

"It's a challenge to myself because of the uneven length of the books.

"I think sometimes it's good to do something snappy to remind ourselves that the Bible is a library, a collection of themes, a big story.

"Anything that draws attention to what the Bible says is good."

Rev Dr Iain was the Free Church of Scotland Moderator for 2012.

He is currently the minister at Free Point Church on the Isle of Lewis and has also written several theological books.
