Evangelist Nick Vujicic co-founds a pro-life supporting bank

by Kelly Valencia

Australian-American evangelist and motivational speaker, Nick Vujicic, has announced he plans to co-found a bank that will focus on supporting pro-life groups.

In an interview with Epoch Times, a conservative US media outlet, Vujicic explained that after he learned that many financial institutions donate money to groups that endorse abortion, he decided to get in touch with a friend to propose the idea of starting a bank.

His friend, Betsy Gray, an executive director at a women's health center in California, accepted and after three months of prayer, they founded Pro-Life Bank.

"We believe there should be equal justice and equal protection for the unborn who exist from the moment of conception."

"We want to tell everyone, there's a choice coming for you," Vujicic told Epoch Times. "And not only will this be a for-profit bank, we are actually known as a for-giving bank. We will not fund abortion, but we'll actually fund 50 percent net profits to Judeo-Christian-aligned non-profit organizations that are biblically aligned in doing the will of God according to our belief systems."

Vujicic, who has a finance background, explained he faced many challenges when he began to speak up against abortions, even from his own bank.

"We had a grenade at our house, a false magazine article published against me, a lawsuit threat, a spying drone, and a bank kicked me out," he said.

"I got kicked out of a bank with no warning. They froze my credit cards, froze my debit cards - they gave me a letter to say that they did a review of me as a client and they don't want anything to do with me."

The 38-year-old added that now is a "wake up call" for Christians to have a stand against abortions and hopes this initiative will help share the message of protecting lives.

"We believe there should be equal justice and equal protection for the unborn who exist from the moment of conception."

No date for the official launch has been set yet.
