by Eno Adeogun

The BBC1 soap led many people to tears after a character got caught up in gang crime and ended up being stabbed to death.

Singer and songwriter Carol Bertogal shared in a video posted online about how moved she was watching Shakil's (Shaheen Jafargholi) funeral scene.

She recalled: "I was overwhelmed with emotion as I watched the programme, especially as they used real-life mothers whose children had been killed.

"The programme also made me think something needs to be done to stop the youth from killing each other."
