More than $350,000 has been raised to support the family of a pastor who was killed in a hit-and-run while cycling with friends near Huntington Beach.

A GoFundMe page described Pastor Eric John Williams as someone who “spent his life serving others” and said he was “a godly man with a heart for Jesus and for people.”

The father of four founded Community Church of West Garden Grove and was well known for reimagining how the church could serve its neighbors.

The driver suspected of fleeing the scene has been arrested and charged as the community continues to mourn and gather in prayer for his wife and children.
