The praise comes after it emerged a website for churches to promote their hustings events had seen dozens of events registered.
More than 70 of the events - where political candidates address voters - have been posted on the engage17 website created by the Christian organisation, CARE.
UK Director, Gareth Davies, said: "Even though there has been very little time to prepare for this snap election the response of the church has been nothing short of amazing.
"For so many churches across the UK to be putting on hustings is an incredible witness to our community".
"Holding a hustings event is great way of serving the local communities and showcasing Christian hospitality."
With a week until voters go to the polls in the 2017 General Election, more events are being added to the engage17 website every day.
Prime Minister Theresa May announced the election on 18th April, saying Britain needed strong and stable leadership after the EU referendum and going into the Brexit negotiations.
Gareth Davies added that hustings are: "also a perfect opportunity for churches to not only build relationships with those who will be elected to represent them but also with the people who live in close-proximity to the church - many of whom may not have entered a church before.
"During the lead up to the election the church can play a vital part in helping people make a really informed decision about who to vote for on June 8th."
