Speaking on Premier News Hour, Rev Grant Bolton-Debbage from St Luke's Church in Great Yarmouth said that it has been snowing heavily all day and they are expecting storm surges to cause flooding later in the day.

"We're all working together to do are bit," Rev Bolton-Debbage said, "The community is coming together to give people advice about what they can do and where they can go."

Rev Bolton-Debbage said that residents of Great Yarmouth are collecting sandbags from the council in expectation of flooding.

St Luke's is providing assistance at their church outreach programme for homeless people in the area.

Rev Bolton-Debbage said the church was supporting the community through prayer and standing by those who are in need of assistance in turbulent weather conditions.

Floods minister Therese Coffey said: "Our absolute priority is protecting lives, homes and businesses from the threat of coastal flooding currently facing the east coast."
