The announcement was made alongside police and government representatives from all over the world who attended a major conference in the capital of Friday, on ways to tackle the issue.
Announcing the plans, Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Vincent Nichols said: "Not only can people who've been rescued come, and the work of rehabilitation with them done, but also we can learn the lessons. And we're doing this with in cooperation with St Mary's University in Twickenham."
Jamie Fyleman, Tearfund praised the Church's announcement, speaking on Premier's 'News Hour, he said: "This is a great development. Just this week, the fact that faith leaders from around the world came together and said they are going to do all that they can possibly do to eradicate modern day slavery by 2020 is amazing. It's so exciting to see the Church speaking out about this issue."
Metropolitan Police commissioner, Bernard Hogan-Howe, also encouraged victims to come forward without fear, he said: "Police in Britain are somebody to turn to for help. Even if you've been involved in this trade come and tell us. Tell a friend, tell a priest, tell someone who would let us know, and then we can do something about it."
