Due to the number of 'drag queen story hour' readings being held in public schools and libraries in parts of the US, church pastors are counteracting by offering 'Pastor's Story Hour' in response.

Currently 'Pastor’s Story Hour' are now being held in several schools and libraries in Ohio and Arizona.

Rev Michael Foster, pastor of East River Church in Batavia and Rev Dale Partridge, pastor of Reformation Fellowship in Prescott, Arizona have set up events

In an interview with the Washington Times, Rev Foster noted he was "disturbed" to see "men in lingerie, reading books to little kids and twerking things" noting it was "super disturbing and twisted".

After many unsuccessful protests by Rev Foster, against the drag queen readings, Rev Foster decided it was best to take action instead.

He booked a space at the Batavia branch of the Clermont County Public Library and read books reflecting biblical messages, such as The King and the Dragon, an evangelical children’s book.

Rev Partridge, also held a "Pastor’s Story Hour" at the public library in Cottonwood.

He read his own children's book that was written and published by him called "Jesus and My Gender."

He told the Washington Times: "Why is it that drag queens and the LGBT movement are seemingly more interested in influencing the community, their local community, than pastors are?’’

"I think Christians are good at doing church stuff. We need to get better at doing culture stuff."
