Christians surround hospital with singing as staff stand on rooftop

by Ruth Sax

A hospital in the state of Georgia in America has seen a big display of community spirit as Christians came out in force to encourage and pray for hospital staff and patients affected by the coronavirus.

On Thursday Cartersville Medical Center in Bartwo County shared a Facebook post that hundreds of people joined a prayer circle to raise the spirits of hospital staff and patients who are battling Covid-19.

Facebook users commented on the post, saying, "lovely moment in time".

Renowned Christian artist Chris Tomlin also shared the post on his Facebook page, calling it a "powerful moment outside of Cartersville Medical Center in Georgia" and to "keep praying for our doctors and nurses."

Cars filled the hospital car park and people tuned their radios to hear prayers and worship music.

Hospital staff members stood on the rooftop, joining people in the car park and sang 'Way Maker' by Sinach.

The video has had over 300,000 views so far.
