Four Christians in China have been detained for handing out flyers at a university.
According to religious freedom charity China Aid, Wang Yi, the pastor of Autumn Rain Blessing Church, reported that four memners of his house church went to a university after a Bible study and passed out Christian materials.
He said they were brought to the school's security department, where they were reported to the police. Police then arrived at the scene, examined the flyers, and reported them to the Chenghua branch of the public security bureau in China's Sichuan province. The Christians were then taken into police custody.
China Aid said other church members stood outside of the police department praying for their release. The four Christians were released at 3:30 am the next morning on 25th April.
The charity said this incident marks the fourth time the police prevented Autumn Rain Blessing Church's members from evangelising this year.
