A Christian woman in northeast China has been deported and detained for attempting to evangelise to the Chinese president and his wife.
On 20th February, Zhou Jinxia travelled to the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Beijing and held a placard sharing the gospel.
She was arrested by police and deported to a detention centre in Dalian. The day after she was charged with 'picking quarrels and provoking trouble'.
According to Christian persecution charity China Aid, Zhou Jinxia has tried to share the word of God with the Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan more than 50 times.
China Aid said: "Zhou Jinxia was administratively detained for 10 days in 2015 for preaching the gospel in front of Zhongnanhai Gate.
"On March 5 , 2016 , she held a placard again in front of Zhongnanhai Gate, which read: " God loves the world and calls Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan. ' Freedom, equality, justice, and integrity come from God, and ' atheism ' produces evil, It brings disaster to the country and brings disaster to the people. Righteousness lifts the country up, sin is a humiliation for the people! The kingdom of heaven is near, you should repent! "
In 2015, 2016 and 2018, Zhou Kinxia was arrested for evangelism-related activities.
