Christian relief agency Tearfund is sending emergency aid to several counties in the region following the worst monsoon rains in 50 years.
Sudarshan Sathianathan, Tearfund's head of Asia region told Premier much of the region's infrastructure has been destroyed.
He said: "There's been a huge amount of damage, not just to people's homes and their livelihoods but there's been damage to infrastructure in a big way, bridges being broken, roads not passable as well as telecommunication breakdown".
Tearfund and its local partner there will be distributing food, warm clothes and plastic sheets for shelter to parts of India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan.
The disaster has claimed 450 lives so far, with millions dispersed.
