Christian peer calls for peacemakers in North Korea

Christian Peer Lord Alton, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for North Korea, is urging people to pray for peace in the country.

North Korea has stepped up its war talk by saying final approval has been given to launch a nuclear strike.

The United States, which is sending a missile defence system to the Pacific, says the threats pose a real danger to the US and its allies South Korea and Japan.

Lord Alton told Premier's News Hour that if North Korea were to launch an attack on South Korea, it could potentially lead to a huge loss of life:
