Elizabeth Johnson from Ohio in the US accused the website of trying to censor the Bible after her post, which quoted a Bible verse describing homosexuality as an "abomination", disappeared.
A Facebook spokesperson said: "The post was removed in error and we restored it as soon as we were able to investigate."
Johnston, who has kept a conservative blog entitled The Activist Mommy since last year, published a post which said: "Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13 similarly call homosexual sex 'detestable' and an 'abomination'."
Her account was frozen for seven days earlier this month after she re-shared the post, which had been removed by Facebook on a previous occasion.
A Facebook spokesperson added: "Our team processes millions of reports each week, and we sometimes get things wrong. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."
Speaking before the u-turn from Facebook, Johnston said: "Many of us are frustrated by the experience in which we report sexually explicit material and death threats, and Facebook response that it does not violate their community guidelines.
"However, a Christian stating what the Bible says about homosexuality does violate their community guidelines. Facebook just needs to straight up admit that they censor people with biblical views. We're tired of the facade."
