Wednesday marks one year since 50-day Israel-Palestine conflict, which made around half a million people in Gaza homeless.
The Catholic charity CAFOD has been working in Gaza and the West Bank.
It stresses that the conflict between Israel and Palestine is complex and it does not expect to see an immediate solution, but also that progress is needed.
Mary Lucas, from CAFOD, told Premier they want to see "pressure on the British government, pressure on the European Union, to really play their role.
"I think the European Union have really quite a lot of influence over the situation in Israel."
"For the 1.8 million people living in Gaza, their lives are curtailed, because they aren't allowed to move out of the territory.
"Materials coming in and out are controlled by Israel."
