The Christian charity congress, Prepare to Dare, is bringing together believers to worship and celebrate.
Major Val Mylechreest, Director of Family Ministries at the Salvation Army, told Premier they are supporting all those that contribute to different communities, and support volunteers.
She said: "It's not just about the big stuff - it's about being involved, it's about the volunteering, and it's always about doing good things at a local level which make a really big difference to what happens, for the sake of the Kingdom."
Christian roots:
- founded in London's East End in 1865 by one-time Methodist Reform Church minister William and Catherine Booth
- it was originally named the East London Christian Mission
Major Val Mylechreest told Premier what people can pray for: "We just want God to be present by the power of his holy spirit.
"There's going to be lots of fun things, lots of celebratory things, lots of sharing good news stories, and it's called prepare to dare and what we want is God to inspire people to do something where they are."

She said the congress is a chance to appreciate what the Church does and is an opportunity to celebrate Christ.
Major Val Mylechreest went on to say that people can get involved in their local areas in all sorts of ways: "I think it would be really important for folk to try and get involved locally if they can, with their local church.
"Just go and have a conversation or see if there's a website that they can link into so it doesn't have to be face-to-face, it can just be asking the questions about what local churches are doing."
