New research published in The Lancet gives someone a score that predicts the risk of dying within five years.
The score uses measures that can be obtained by simple questionnaires without any need for physical examination, such as walking speed.
You end up with a percentage, based the responses of people of the same age.
Jo Naughton is a pastor and lifestyle author in this area, and told Premier: "If we really trust God and know that he has our best in his heart, then we can live our lives to the full.
"Every single day of our lives was planned before-hand... that's what we've got to keep certain about, that our lives are in his hands."
But she added there may be some benefit: "If there's those that this report will say 'hey, you might not have that long, so let's make every day count', then that's not a bad thing."
