Christenings are the ‘hardest’ event to write cards for, new study shows

by Lydia Davies

A recent study by Moonpig, a popular online retailer that specialises in personalised greeting cards, has highlighted christening cards as one of the most difficult occasions for people to write messages for.

The company revealed there are 18,360 monthly Google searches seeking guidance on what to write.

The Church of England, the largest Christian denomination in the country, reported conducting tens of thousands of christening services annually in previous years.

Moonpig said people may feel their message needs to reflect such a monumental occasion, which can make writing christening cards difficult.

Other occasions shown to have high Google searches included sympathy and leaving cards, with the easiest to write being graduation and national holiday cards.
