Hollywood actor Chris Pratt has once again made headlines for openly sharing his Christian faith—this time by including Jesus in his list of “Top 10 Things I Can’t Live Without.”
In a light-hearted Instagram post last week, the Guardians of the Galaxy star ranked his top essentials, starting with oxygen, his organs, blood (his own), gravity, and Jesus. He followed with food and water, the NFL, his wife and kids, bass fishing, and—at number 10—his glam team.
When some followers questioned the order of his list, particularly placing Jesus above his family, Pratt responded, “Family first, always. Don’t overthink a fun post, please.” He also admitted he forgot to include golf.
Known for being unapologetic about his Christian faith, Pratt didn’t shy away from naming Jesus as a vital part of his life—something that resonated with many fellow believers online.
“Thank you, my brother in Christ,” one follower wrote. Another commented, “I see Jesus is the cornerstone of your list.” A user named Zach added, “I love how you’re just actually a normal guy that loves Jesus and his family and fishing. A great inspiration to young men.”
Autumn wrote, “I love how you have both Jesus AND your wife and kids in this post. That's rare to find in Hollywood these days. God bless you!”
Others shared how Pratt’s boldness has impacted their own faith. “Respect you so much for being so open about following Jesus. It has helped me a lot, and I’ve been putting in so much more effort because of you,” one follower commented.
However, not all reactions were positive. Some users pushed back, posting comments such as “Jesus isn’t real,” and “Can’t live without your imaginary friend is crazy—what’s even crazier is that you put him above your family.” One user, Patrick, simply wrote, “Jesus? Ugh.” Another, Tracy, questioned, “Dude, what’s with the addition of Jesus into this list and the other videos wearing the American flag hat?”
Although the comments were divided—with slightly more critical voices—Pratt has never wavered in standing by his beliefs.
In a previous media interview, he said, “I care enough about Jesus to take a stand, even if it costs me. It could cost me everything, but I don’t care.”
