Christians are putting candles in their windows to show their neighbours that they are praying for them.
As many people put candles in their windows and prayed last Sunday at 7pm for coronavirus, a church group is encouraging people to do so again or leave a poster of a candle up.
Following the response which the National Call to Prayer and Action received on Mothering Sunday last week to pray for the pandemic, Churches Together in England - a national ecumenical group - has urged people to keep doing so and prepared a candle poster for those who would like to place a permanent symbol in their front windows of Christ's light shining in the darkness.
The poster has been made available to remove the fire risk posed by lighting candles, particularly on windowsills, with the group saying it is "keen to avoid adding any pressure to our emergency service personnel, particularly at this difficult time." They can be downloaded here.
Photos can be uploaded onto social media using the hastag #candlesofhope.
At 7pm there will also be a prayer show on Premier Christian Radio to help lead people.
