There's a call for Christian ethics to be brought back into the NHS as new reforms are introduced. The health secretary, Jeremy Hunt, has announced that student nurses are going to spend a year looking after patients' basic needs before beginning their degree. It's part of a new focus on compassion after hundreds of patients died needlessly because of poor care at Stafford hospital. Steve Fouch is Secretary of Christian Nurses and Midwives.
