by Hannah Tooley

He said that it was unintentional and he did not mean to cause upset.

The actor had tweeted, "Ther r more chances of me having had an affair with d Pope dan any of d (Im sure wonderful) women d media hs been naming."

He was responding to rumours about his relationship with international actress Kangana Ranaut, also a Bollywood star.

The actress Kangana Ranaut and Abraham Mathai, the All India President of the group Indian Christian Voice, were thought to be upset by Hrithik's tweet, according to The Times of India.

The popular actor had landed himself into legal trouble when a Christian group slapped a notice on him for hurting religious sentiments.

The organisation represents the interests of the Christian community in India, it sent a legal notice to Hrithik.
