Black Panther actress Letitia Wright has revealed the worship song that always "moves her".

Speaking to Premier Christian Radio, the 31-year-old star explained that while she doesn't have one particular song she listens to on repeat, William McDowell’s Here I Am to Worship never fails to have a powerful effect on her.

“I wouldn't say I have a favourite because there's so many good ones, but if I were to say there’s one that always moves me, it’s William McDowell's Here I Am to Worship. It just always gets me in my field,” she said.

Wright, who often speaks publicly about her Christian faith, has recently launched her own production company. Its latest project, Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot, marks her first experience working behind the camera as a producer.

The faith-based film tells the inspiring story of Bishop and First Lady Donna Martin, along with their small Bennett Chapel Church in the town of Possum Trot, deep in the woods of East Texas. Together, 22 families from the congregation bravely adopted 77 of the most difficult-to-place children from the local foster care system, sparking a national movement that continues to support vulnerable children today.

At the film's London premiere, Wright told Premier Christian Radio: “I love justice and I love equality and fairness. I’m just for that, and I feel like this film combines those two things I’m really passionate about.”

She also spoke about her relationship with God, describing it as incomparable: “There’s nothing that compares to it.”

“I try to be super honest. I try not to fake it or pretend. If I'm having a bad day, I’m having a bad day. If I’m feeling good, I’m feeling good. If I’m worried, I’m worried. I just take it all to God, and I feel like that honesty allows me to have a real connection.”

The Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot is now out in cinemas.
