Bishop Michael Curry, the presiding bishop for the Episcopal Church was moved out of intensive care on Tuesday, following a surgery to treat internal bleeding.

Curry underwent the procedure on Saturday to address the reoccurrence of a subdural hematoma, often referred to as a brain bleed and has now been moved to a regular hospital room as part of his ongoing recovery.

The church leader famous for preaching at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, also experienced a subdural hematoma in December 2023, at which time he underwent a successful surgery to treat the condition.

The Bishop struggled with a number of health concerns in 2023 following instances of internal bleeding and irregular heartbeats. He spent time in an intensive Care Unit (ICU) in September last year following a surgery to remove his right adrenal gland and an attached mass.

The Episcopal Church is urging Christians to hold Bishop Curry, his family, and his whole medical team in their prayers.
