Billy Graham's final message to family revealed in will

by Tola Mbakwe

The family testament first starts with Rev Graham professing his faith in Jesus Christ.

It reads: "Since I was a teenager, I have found joy and peace in believing God rather than trusting the changing opinions of men. It has been my supreme joy to labour in His service."

The world-renowned US evangelist then asked his children and grandchildren to carry his torch by defending the gospel.

Maintain and defend at all hazards and at any cost of personal sacrifice the blessed doctrine of complete atonement for sin through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ once offered, and through that alone," he wrote.

He also asked whoever reads the documents to read the Bible every day.

He ended the letter by sharing his love for his wife Ruth, who died in 2005. He thanked her for years of "devotion, love, faithfulness and sacrifice."

Rev Graham died earlier this year at the age of 99.
