The Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina, marked a significant milestone as it welcomed its two millionth visitor.
Gabriel Salstein, a 17-year-old from Miami, Florida, had the honour of being the milestone guest.
Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, reflected on the momentous occasion. "When visitors enter the Billy Graham Library, they pass through doors at the foot of a 40-foot-tall glass cross," he said.
"When the Library was built, I had no idea that over two million people would pass through those doors to hear the Gospel and witness how God used a North Carolina farmer’s son to reach millions around the world with the message of the cross.
"This Good News-the Gospel-is the same message my father preached for more than 70 years."
The Salstein family, who previously visited the Library in 2020, made the trip after Gabriel was inspired by reading Billy Graham's autobiography titled Just as I am.
“I just want you guys to know what you do here matters. It influenced my son in a very impactful way,” said Javiera Salstein, Gabriel's mother, who, along with her husband Alex and their five children, returned to the Library. “We were looking forward to being here, surrounded by people who love the Lord and are dedicated to continuing what Mr. Billy Graham started.”
The Billy Graham Library, consistently ranked the number one attraction in Charlotte on TripAdvisor, offers visitors a look at the life and ministry of the world-renowned evangelist.
Since its opening in 2007, the Library has hosted guests from all 50 states and more than 100 countries, ranging from U.S. Presidents to schoolchildren.
