The funeral service for Pastor Robert Guanco, who died after being hit by a falling sign at Big Church Festival, has been confirmed for 9 October.
The 41 year-old died at the scene on the Wiston Estate, West Sussex, on 28 August.
At least six people were injured in the incident, according to festival organisers who said they were “devastated” by what had happened.
Confirming the date on Facebook, Jesus Living Water Church Eastbourne said: “All are welcome to join us in remembering his service, leadership, and love for our community.”
“Please feel free to share your fondest memories or prayers for Pastor Robert in a card, a note, or the condolence book during the memorial service. All wonderful stories and heartfelt prayers will be collected into a keepsake photo book in his memory.”
A sign-up link has been shared, with a livestream also available for those unable to attend.
The Church shared Hebrews 13:7 (NLT): “Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith.”
Pastor Robert is survived by his wife Isaeli and daughter Ellie.
A Gofundme set up by the church for his family has raised more than £237,000.
