Koinonia House, the ministry he founded 45 years ago, reported this morning: "Charles "Chuck" W. Missler passed away peacefully at his home in Reporoa, New Zealand".
Best known for his teaching series Learn the Bible in 24 Hours, Dr Missler was a popular author and speaker who ministered across the world before retiring last year.
Supporters of his ministry paid tribute to Dr Missler on Twitter, writing he had "gone home to be with the Lord".
Dr Missler was formerly a preacher at the 30,000-member Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, in California where thousands of cassette tapes of his messages were distributed each month.
In more recent years his messages aired on GOD TV, RevelationTV, and TBN Europe.
We thank God for the life of Chuck Missler, founder of @KoinoniaHouse who has touched the lives of our viewers worldwide with his verse by verse teaching of God's Word. Learn the Bible in 24 Hours is just one of his series that will never lose its impact. What a legacy he leaves. pic.twitter.com/8DqYEpk8Z7
